03/06/2015 – Biobased bouwen op de Floriade (Almere)
In 2016 the province of Flevoland (The Netherlands) is going to develop a workplace (‘atelier’) at the Floriade area (horticulture fair 2022). The ambition is to realise a building which is controversial from itself and will be an icon for bio based- and circular building. To generate ideas for this innovative building, Grow2Build has organised a workshop. During the workshop – at June 3rd 2015 in Almere – some 25 architects, builders and productdevelopers explored the possibilities on short and long term (now, new, next).

31/03/2015 Collective brainstorm session Biobased Building and Health effects at Valthermond (NL)
During the event findings and experiences about impact of biobased buidling materials on indoor climate and health will be shared. White spots will be discussed and ideas to cover these white spots will be explored. The approach of the meeting is a collective brainstorm according the principles of a Group Decision Room (GDR-session).
19/03 Workshop on natural Fibre Insulation @ Brunel University, with presentation looking at the subject from different angles.
The workshop brought together EU and national representatives from industry, research and interested institutions, to explore and discuss opportunities and strengths related with sustainable natural fibre insulation materials supply and use in UK and Europe.

VIBE and Bas organised a permanent exhibition of flax and hemp building materials and different lectures about those materials.

20/05/2014 Installement Professors at Saxion University
Professors Jan de Wit and Mieke Oostra were installed at Saxion University of applied sciences in Enschede. Both professors participate on behalve of Saxion in Grow2Build. Jan de Wit focusses on biobased processing techniques and Mieke Oostra on the properties of biobased building materials. At the event in the Great Church in the old center of Enschede for an audience of colleagues, invited academics, professionals, entrepeneurs and local- and regional policy makers they addressed both the importance and opportunities of a biobased economy. Mieke specically addressed the role of Saxion in the Grow2build project.
